Description
(for ages 16 and up) The Passaic River meanders through some of the busiest sections of New Jersey. You wouldn't know it here though. Its slow current and flood prone waters mean many are reluctant to build close to its banks, allowing nature to thrive. Hawks, herons, egrets and turtles are plentiful along the wooded shores of this, NJ's longest, river.
